Christmas Event 2009 Guide

The Christmas Event of 2009 is pretty cool, but takes a long time to figure out. I am going to help you out with your problems during the Christmas Event of 2009. That means that if you don't want any spoilers for the Christmas Event of 2009 then I would stop reading after this paragraph.

To start the Event you need to go to Varrock Square, Falador, Draynor. After you find the Magic Cupboard go inside and you are teleported into the Land of Snow! To start talk to your snow imp and it should take a while to find him. Look around the entrance portal to find him. After you find your snow imp, he tells you that Scourge kidnapped Santa and took all the food from the feast.

Now you need to go to Scourge's house, which is in the east side of the Land of Snow. Go through the gate and you should be in his yard. Go into Scourge's house and talk to Santa Claus, who is in the cage. Next go into the west room of the house and right click until you find Scourge. After you talk to him talk to your imp. He will tell you that you need to make a ghost costume.

Search all the cupboards and barrels in Scourge's house and you will find everything that you need. What you need is a needle, thread, bed sheet, and chain.  After you have everything you need to make the ghost costume, use any of the items on each other and you'll get your ghost costume. Put it on, and talk to your snow imp. He will tell you that you need to find someone who knows about Scourge's past.

Now you need to talk to the Queen of Snow. Go back to the Land of Snow by going through the gate again, and in the top of the Land of Snow is the tent of the Queen of Snow. She will tell you that her and Scourge used to be in love, but not anymore. Go back to Scourge's house and go up the stairs. A cut scene will follow were Scourge puts a curse of fire on all of the party goers. Remember the order that he freezes people, because the order is backwards to unfreeze them.

Return to the tables in the middle of the Land of Snow and use a bucket on the fountain of icy water to get a bucket of icy water. Use your bucket of icy water on the last person who was frozen and go through the order of the people. I would tell you the order but it is random so everyone's is different, the only part that is the same is that the boy with crutches is last to be unfrozen. After you unfreeze him, talk to your imp and he will have an idea, which means go talk to Scourge.

When you are back at Scourge's he will threaten you during the cut scene. After the cut scene talk to your imp and he will have another great idea, the Ghost of Christmas Future! Go back up the stairs and a cut scene will begin but, you get to interact in this one. Your imp will start by having you be quiet but then you can choose three emotes, choose to do angry, then after choose scare, and at the end choose Dramatic Point! This will make Scourge change his ways, and you are basically done.

Now you need to go talk to Santa Claus, he is located by the Queen of Snow in the Land of Snow. He will tell you to go and get your present under the tree, which is located in the South-East corner. You will get this message.

This stuff, you keep your ghost robes, and get a candy cane weapon!

Also you keep the Dramatic Point Emote! I think it looks pretty cool. Later on in the day Nezantra in Merch Gwyar's chat Canting Away found out a glitch. If you spun your newly acquired candy cane, and quickly switched weapons by pressing F1 you could spin a weapon. I quickly jumped into the middle of things and helped try out the new glitch, here is a bunch of different weapons I tossed.

 

My favorite is the whip because it looks like a Frisbee.  Good luck trying out the glitch before it goes away!
